Q.A. Management Services Pty Ltd was founded by Phillip Wilton in 1985 under the name of Manufacturing Inspection and Testing Engineers. The fledgling company provided quality management consultancy and inspection and expediting services predominantly to
the power generation and gas pipeline construction industries in Western Australia.
In June 1987, the company changed it's name and embarked upon a program of expansion and re-structuring to satisfy the expanding needs of a broader spectrum of industries.This program still incorporates ongoing development to reflect the continually chang ing nature of client requirements, commensurate with new technologies and an increased sophistication in the areas of project procurement and construction.
The company succeeded in attaining significant inspection contracts involving the surveillance of major resource projects both within Australia and overseas. With the ongoing growth in demand for QA and QC related services in the early nineties, it became apparent that in order to maintain customer satisfaction, the company needed further growth in technical resources. In 1992, Q.A. Management Services merged with rival Perth based company, Quality Assurance & Testing Engineers (Q.A.T.E.), introducing Nic k Travaglini as a new director. This pooling of resources created the largest quality management consultancy of it's time in Western Australia and set up what has probably become one of the largest inspection, expediting and quality assurance networks in the world.
In 1994, Q.A. Management Services achieved ISO 9001 certification with BVQI.
